Why should I pay for a service when I can get information for free on the internet or from the CDC?
We hear this question often.  TravelCare’s data is superior to other paid services and the free services like the CDC.  While all companies get data from the CDC, W.H.O. and other sources, we source our own data from our network of 800 international medical professionals, 26 alarm center and our medical team that is vetting data from all sources which is then synthesized for our reports.  In addition to offering the most accurate, up-to-date content, and instant security alerts – TravelCare customizes our reports for our subscribers and their respective customers.   There are a multitude of features that warrant the use of a paid service.

What is Travel Health and why should I be offering the service?
Travel Health is a simple term for travel medicine or tropical medicine or travel health services. Travel Health includes medical advice of vaccines, Rx and OTC medications based on specific destinations.  Travel Health is a growing market.  61 million people travel to foreign destinations each year while criss-crossing the globe we are exposed to a vast array of people and subsequent illnesses.  Travel is great but some precaution makes good sense.  Corporate and Medical professionals need to be more vigilant and advise their employee/patients and customers to update routine vaccines and get professional advise.

How Profitable is Travel Health for Pharmacies, Clinics and Primary Care Practices?
The average traveler will spend $400 on pre-trip medical services and supplies. This total includes routine & travel vaccines, prescriptions, OTC medications and purchases like sunscreen, bug repellent and stomach medications.  This number can easily increase based on the destination.  The more undeveloped the country the higher the medical costs.

How long are the Contracts?
Our subscription contract are 12 months.

Should I print or email the Travel Reports?
This is your option but we recommend doing both. Customers may not take your advice right away but having a printed and email version will make sure they look at it. Secondly, a printed version let’s the next medical professional (their family doctor, etc.) that you are in the travel business and to send patients to you for prescriptions etc. These reports will bring in friends, family, co-workers and grow your referral network.
